Welcome
to Jeff's Garden. My husband Jeff, has been gardening on these
grounds for seven years. When we moved into the house the garden,
just over a half acre, had been neglected but it had what gardners
call "good bones". There were beds laid out and many
beautiful, mature trees. Jeff has reworked the old beds and planted
many new beds. We've added a large brick terrace, many roses,
perennials, hostas, clematis, and a shade bed featuring a Coastal
Redwood. We live in Vancouver Washington so we have a great climate
for gardening, USDA zone 7. We have excellent soil and Jeff is
a firm believer in digging a "hundred dollar hole for a
ten dollar plant". I first posted this site in the Spring
of 1999 and updated the pictures at the end of the season. Its
now spring of 2000 and the garden is awakening.Click here for a Spring preview slideshow.
Enjoy your visit.

The front of the house
in Spring with the Pink Dogwood in bloom. The ancient tree on
the right is an American Butternut and very picturesque. The
two smaller trees are Japanese Maples. |

Dianthus with Johnson's
Blue and Wargrave Pink geranium, and roses in the background.
The red rose is Showbiz, a very common floribunda. The pale pink
rose is Heritage, David Austin's favorite rose. The deeper pink
one is Lyric, a modern shrub rose from Heirloom Old Garden Roses. |

border, taken in August. We had the terrace built about four
years ago. |
